The rules of news consumption are not the same. Driving the online appetite for news are India’s millennials -a mobile-savvy, young audience that are more serious than ever about disinformation, fake news and propaganda. As part of the Promax Asia Creative Playbook –– we welcome Faye D’Souza, independent journalist and Ritu Kapur, Co-Founder Quint to deep- dive into the innovations necessary to keep India’s youth engaged. How are journalists overcoming challenges and creating compelling news stories as the COVID-19 crisis continues? As former TV Channel Executives, both Faye and Ritu take us through their gradual but definite shift to online news and what it takes to stay true to their journalism and still be successful at building a solid community online.
While Quint has looked at story telling through a smooth blend of video, audio, graphics and text, offering a modern, sharp take on the world, Faye has built a stellar 500 K Instagram following by reinventing news through her very popular “News that Should be Headlines” and “Good News Tonight”-both targeting Young India.
The webinar will be moderated by Richa Arora, Co-Founder, Metapixel Studios and Ex-Group Head, Promotions and Marketing, NDTV Network.
