A Content aficionado, Aparna Acharekar is the Programming Head at ZEE5. In her current role she is leading the content team for the platform and have been associated with Zee group since 2006.
With an overall experience as a content professional for about 2 decades which includes areas like OTT, web, applications and print media, Ms. Aparna has been a part of the core team driving Zee’s digital businesses worldwide since 2008 and the team that introduced content monetization through YouTube and Self-Operated Digital platforms in the Indian Broadcast space. After completing her post-graduation in media and communications from Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women’s University Ms. Acharekar joined Times Group and contributed editorial expertise.
Aparna holds certifications from YouTube for audience growth & development and digital rights management. She is also a certified mentor from Harvard. To explore new areas and add skills in her portfolio she has recently completed PGDM in E- Business from Welingkar Institute of Management.
She is an avid mentor to students of bachelors, PG of Journalism (Print and Digital) and media management.
